The Smugglers has long been a popular watering hole for visitors and regulars alike. Serving award winning local ales from micro-brewery “Burning Sky”(Firle) “Longman” (Littlington) to the traditional “Harvey’s” of Lewes.  Guest ales from the above make seasonal appearances.

A varied collection of bottle beers and larger is also served with a selection of wines and spirits and soft drinks, which are great by themselves or compliment to a great meal.

Sussex Guide 2018

It’s always a thrill to come across such an historic pub. A traditional wood-fronted building in the picturesque village of Alfriston, Ye Olde Smugglers Inne dates back to 1358 and was once, as the name suggests, a den for smugglers.

Owner Lisa Thompson has put the pub back on the map.
