Our spirit selection is a connoisseur's delight, with a special focus on locally distilled East Sussex gins.
Beyond serving great drinks, our main bar is a place for community connection, regularly hosting popular quiz nights and charity events.

At Ye Olde Smugglers Inne, food is more than just a meal — it’s a celebration of tradition, community, and local flavours. Our Head Chef, Darren Sandalls, draws on over 30 years of experience to create menus that honour the rich heritage of Sussex while showcasing the very best seasonal produce.
From hearty classics and light lunches to our much-loved Sunday roasts, every dish is crafted with care using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We’re proud to work closely with trusted suppliers across the South Downs, bringing you meat, fish, and vegetables that reflect the seasons.
Our menus change throughout the year, offering comforting dishes in the colder months and lighter options in the spring and summer. Whether you’re joining us for a relaxed lunch, an evening meal with friends, or a special festive gathering, you’ll always find something to enjoy at The Smugglers.
